'77年はKISSとスーパーカーブーム Part3

ついにWildmanの地元にもスーパーカーショーがやって来たのです。それは1977年5月8日の日曜日、場所は家のすぐそばである横浜市磯子区の横浜プリンスホテルというWildman少年にとって最高のロケーションでした。しかも5月10日のブログ「KISSと共に30年　Part..3」で書いたNHKのヤング・ミュージック・ショーKISS ライブ放映の翌日の開催という興奮さめやらぬ日程だったのです（スバラシイ週末です!）。

会場に突撃するとゴルフコースの芝生の上にスーパーカー達が並び、大人気のランボルギーニ・カウンタックやミウラ、フェラーリBBの回りには子供達が群がっていました。この日はいつものカメラではなく、オヤジから借りていった8mmカメラにて音声の無い動画?の撮影でした。まだビデオカメラなど普及していない時代なので映写機にて写すものでした（まだこの時のフィルム持っているので今度DVD化を目指します）撮影しているとマンガ、サーキットの狼の主人公、風吹裕矢の愛車でもあるロータス・ヨーロッパの所に子供たちの長い長い列が出来ていました。アイドルと握手が出来るように、ロータスの運転席に座れるという物でした。Wildmanも並んで座らさせて頂きました。狭かっただけです。クラッチを踏んだら見張りの人に注意されました・・・
「そんな事よりも池沢さとし先生はどこだ!どこにいる?」と探していると会場の端のほうから子供たちに腕をつかまれ、まさにアイドルのようにモミクチャにされながら歩いてくるお兄さんが一人。「ゲッ、池沢先生ではないか!」とWildmanも走って腕をつかみに行きました。
「思っていたよりも先生は小柄だな」と感じましたがあんなWildなマンガを描くのだからさぞや大柄なのだろうと勝手に想像していただけです。
そして先生がサイン会のテーブルに着いた時にショッキングな事が起きました。サイン会を仕切っていたおじさんが「これからチャリティサイン会を始めま〜す、チャリティなので色紙を￥500で買って並んで下さ〜い」とわめいています。「チャリティって何?なんのこと??」と悩む少年Wildmanでしたが、この頃は24時間TV「愛は地球を救う」などもまだ始まっていなくチャリティという言葉自体が普及?していませんでした（少なくともWildmanの中では）
「ケッ、ナンダよ、お金取るのかよ〜、一体何に寄付するんだよ〜」とふて腐れるWildman。何の事はない、お金を持っていませんでした。本日の軍資金は入場料と売店で売っていた焼きトウモロコシ代でほぼ底をつき、あとはジュース代の￥100くらいがポケットに入って
いるだけでした・・・「あんなトウモロコシ食わなきゃよかった!!」とほざいてもあとのまつりでした・・・
お金を持っている少年達は楽しそうに池沢先生の前に並び色紙にサインを頂き、それは楽しそうに先生と会話をしていました。それを遠目に見つめるWildman、先生にマンガ家になる事を打ち明けて、あわよくば中学卒業後はアシスタントにして頂く旨を伝えようと思っていたのに夢は崩れました。トヨタ2000GTと'73ポルシェ・カレラRSのイラストを描いたファンレターを2回も送った事がありましたが、返事が来なかったので（当たり前です）この日直談判を試みたかったのに最悪の結果となってしまい、生まれてはじめてのカーショーは辛い結末となりました。
結局サイン会終了後はあっという間に池沢先生はその場を立ち去ってしまい、その後現在まで二度とお会いする事はありませんでした・・・'77年はKISSとスーパーカーブームの思い出でいっぱいなのですがこの辛い思い出を機にWildmanはスーパーカーをとりあえず卒業し変態街道まっしぐらの年齢にそぐわない旧車趣味に走り始めたのです。（でもスーパーカーは今でも大好きです）




'77 was Kiss and Super Car Boom part3

Finally the Super Car Show came to Wildmans local neighborhood.
It was on Sunday May 8th 1977 at Yokohama Prince Hotel in Yokohama city Isogo ward, great location for Wildman and right near his home. Also it was day after the NHK Young Music Show KISS live broad cast While excitement is still left.(great week ends)

Entering the hosted place, on top of the grass field of Golf Course The super cars were lined up, Lamborghini countach, Miura，FerrariBB were cover with kids with great popularity.
That day I had 8mm camera borrowed from father to shoot the Movie with out sounds. The Video camera was not popular back than So film was shown by projectors. (Wildman still have this film and Wants to try to make DVD) while filming the cartoon "Wolf of circuit" Yuuya Fubuki main characters car the Lotus Europe Was displayed and kids were making long long line.
It was like hand shake with some idole, kids get to Sit on seat of Lotus Europe. Wildman lined up and sat in it too. It was too small place to be. When he stepped on clutch, he was warned by security.
"Never mind about them, Where is Mr. Satoshi Ikeda, where is he" so Wildman try to find him and there was one young man being captured by kids on arm and walking to words Wildman. "What? that's Ikezawa Sensei." So Wildman run and grabe his arm. "He was smaller than I thought, I imagined big guy as he writes Wild cartoon.
So the Sen sei was at table for sign, shocking thing happened.

The Old man who was running the signature event has said "from now we like to do Charity signature event, its charity so please buy this Irogami(color paper)for \500 and line up"."what you mean Charity, what is it!" Wildman didn't know, the 24hour TV program called "Love will save the Earth" was famous charity TV program but not existed back then and word charity was not known at all.(at least in Wildman)

"What! why is he taking money, charity for what?" so Wildman gets nugging. But truth is that He didn’t have money with him. Todays Money was used up paying the entrance fee and corn sold at Shop and \100 left for can of drink. "I should not gone for that Corn" but it was too late for crying out.

Kids who had money was lined up again and had sign on color paper and happily talking to Mr. Ikezawa. Wildman was looking from far distance, talking to Mr.Ikezawa that He wants to be cartoon artist too, and tell him how Wildman wants to may be work as assistant After graduating junior high school But the dream has been shattered. Wildman has sent two fun letter to MrIkezawa with Drawing of 200GT and ’73 Porche Carera RS but no Reply (of course) so this day was to talk to him direct on this subject but it was worst turn out and first car show was Painful experience for him.

So Mr.Ikezawa left as soon as the signature event was finished
and never had chance to see him since then. '77 was full of memories of KISS and Super Car Boom but since this harsh memory, Wildman has decided to graduate Super car and started to head to the hobby of classic cars Which didn't match with his age at all.(but he still likes Super Car)

'77年はKISSとスーパーカーブーム Part2

今回のお話も'77年スーパーカーブームの続きとなります。
KISS初来日とほぼ同時に起こったこのブームでしたが、'76年ころに例のマンガ「サーキットの狼」が起爆剤となって世間が動き始めていました。

子供たちはこのマンガに登場するクルマたちに異常な興味を持ち始めカメラ片手に街中で張り込みをし、その姿を撮影するのに夢中になっておりました。まさにアイドルの追っかけと同じような行動で、それはだんだんとエスカレートし、何と外車ディーラーに子供たちが押し寄せるといった珍現象に発展して行きました。もちろんこの珍現象にWildmanも加わっていました。生涯初のカメラ「オリンパス ペン」を片手に地元横浜そして東京に出張と忙しい日々を送っていました。
何といっても横浜にはスーパーカーの聖地があったのです。それは伝説の外車ディーラー「シーサイドモータース」で当時フェラーリ、ランボルギーニ、マセラティの日本総代理店を務め、ショールームには憧れのスーパーカーがギッシリと並んでいたのです。

日曜日になるとクルマを買えるはずのない子供たちが大挙押し寄せ、店の回りは子供しかいないといった意味不明の光景が広がっていました。ショールームの向かいにガソリンスタンドがあってそこでスーパーカーが給油する時はまさにアイドルに群がるガキそのもので、お店の方やオーナーはさぞや迷惑だった事でしょう。
シーサイドモータースに行けばまずはずれは無く、何かしらスーパーカーが撮影出来ましたがカウンタックやミウラ、フェラーリBB等が展示されていた時は至福の時間が過ごせました。当時通っていた歯医者の先生が何とシーサイドでクルマを買ったというので「ひょっとしてランボルギーニですか！」と興奮して聞いた所、「ベンツだよ」と言われ本当にがっかりしました。しかしこの先生はその後ポルシェのディーラーであるミツワモータースで新車のポルシェ911Sを購入し、Wildmanを喜ばせてくれました。しかもその後10年以上所有なされて、Wildmanが自動車免許を取った時に運転させてくれた思い出があります。
そう、ミツワモータースと言えば目黒のお店にも'76年に出没致しました。現在Flat-4さんの店舗の向かい側にあるところで、どうやって行ったのか全く覚えていませんが、現地にたどり着きショールームの正面入り口から堂々と進入し猛烈に怒られました（当たり前ですね）しかしすきを見て裏手の工場に潜り込み、入庫したばかりの930ターボや友人たちは振り向きもしなかった356に遭遇出来てとても充実した1日を過ごせました。
帰り道の目黒通りでグリーンメタリックのランボルギーニ ウラッコに遭遇し撮影しようと思い道路に飛び出して轢かれそうになった事も良く覚えております。スーパーカー小僧は日本中で繁殖し、各地でショーが開催されたり、焼肉を幾ら以上食べたらカウンタックに乗せてやると言った焼肉屋まで現れました。
そして'77年スーパーカーショーがいよいよWildmanの地元の町にやって来ました。これにはさすがにビックリしましたが行かない理由は全くありません。場所は昨年閉館してしまった磯子の横浜プリンスホテルで、Wildman実家より自転車で7分30秒の距離でした。愛車YAMAHAモトバイクというヘンテコ自転車にまたがり、会場となるプリンスホテルのゴルフコースに出撃となりました。もちろんスーパーカーが目当てですが当日の目玉はなんといってもあの「サーキットの狼」作者である池沢さとし先生がゲストとして来てサイン会を行うと言うではありませんか！少年Wildmanは当時勝手にマンガ家を目指していたので熱い胸のうちを池沢先生に伝えなくてはと思い会場に入りましたがそこでショッキングな事実が待ち受けていたのです。

と言う事で熱いスーパーカー話はまだまだ続きますので匂ご期待！！

1977 was KISS and Super Car Boom Part 2

This story is about 1977 Super Car Boom is still continuing. It was about same time of first live of KISS in Japan but in 1976 the famous cartoon "The wolf of circuit" was the Key to make the movement.

Chiledren showed strong interest to the cars appearing in this cartoon and With camera in one hand they chased these cars, just like paparaci. The children got extreme and strange as children larking in foreign import car dealer In dozens.
Of course Wildman was in this strange situation too. With the first camera he owned “Olympus PEN” he took pictures In Yokohama and to Tokyo he was busy on business trip spending busy days. The good thing was Yokohama had sanctuary for the super cars. That is the legendary foreign car dealer “Sea side Motors” Back Ferrari, Lamborghini, Masseratis’Japan whole seller and show room was filled with Ferrari, Lamoborghnis.
On Sunday numerious number of children came and dealer was surrendered by the children who dont even have money to Buy those car but was filled by them.
The gas station near by was same too. When ever these cars come to fill gas every kid chase and It must have been a hustler for owner. Seaside Motor was good place to go, Every time something was going on and picture of cars were able to take, But when Countach, Miura, Ferarri BB was displayed it was very happiest moment.
The dentist I went back then told me he bout car at Seaside Motors, so I asked “may be a Lamborghni? very excited to ask and when he told me it was Mercedez
I try not to but really felt like depressed. But this Doctor bout brand new Porche 911S at dealer Mituzwa and made Wildman very happy. Doctor owned it for more than 10 years and when Wildman got license he let Wildman Drive this porche.
That Mitsuwa mortars appeared in 1976 at Meguro shop. It was opposite side of where Flat 4 is currently at. Wildman don’t remember how he got there but He and his friend tried to go in from the front door and kicked out. (too natural) but sneaked in from back and took picture of brand new 930 turbo and 356 which his friend show no interest so fruitful day he spent.
On the way home, saw a green metallic Lamborghini Urraco on Meguro street and almost got run over when stepped out on street to take a picture, still remember as a good memory. The super car kids were increasing in Japan and show were hosted in many places and even BBQ restaurant with deals like if you eat
This much you get ride on Lamborghinis. In 1977 Super Car Show finally came to Wildmans local town. This was surprise to Wildman but with no reason to refuse.
It was hosted at ISOGO Prince hotel which closed last year Only 7.5miniutes ride on bicycle from his home. His machine was unique YAMAHA motorbike (bicycle) which took him out to Prince Hotel and entered Golf course. The super cars were target but major hit was the writer of cartoon Wolf of Circuit, Mr Satoshi Ikezawa was guest to sign . Wildman had dream of becoming cartoon artist so he had to go
And tell him this dream. But shocking thing was waiting there.

'77年はKISSとスーパーカーブーム Part.1

さて前回までのブログで3回に渡ってKISSのお話をさせて頂きましたが
終わりが見えなくなってきたので（まだ話したい事がたくさんあるので）KISS話は今後短編集（長文集？）として随時紹介して行きますのでご期待下さい！

と言う事で又も時代は30年逆戻り、1977年となります。そうKISS初来日の頃、日本ではもう一つ子供達が世間を動かした空前のブームが起こっていたのです。スーパーカーブームという不思議な現象が日本中で猛威を振るっていました。
このブームを体験したのは'77年前後に小学校高学年〜中学生だった'60年代中期に生まれた世代の人達なので'64年生まれのWildmanは
ズバリその年代に当たります。ちなみにBossはもっと上の世代になってしまうのでこの手の話は子ども扱いされてしまいます。
又、Mooneyesの20〜30代中盤の世代のスタッフも若すぎてこのブーム
の事は知りません（たとえ知っていても行動は出来なかったはずです）なのでWildmanと同世代の人達とは楽しい思い出話が出来ます。（カスタムカー業界の人でもこのブームの洗礼を受けた人はたくさんいますよ）
スーパーカーブームが起こったのは'76年頃なのですが、Wildmanはすでにクルマオタクとして'75年からミニカーコレクターとしての活動を始めていたので、まさか学校のクラスメイトまで皆クルマ好きになるのはとても不思議な現象でした。
'77年にピークを迎えその年の年末から'78年くらいになってこのブームは終わりを告げたのですが、もちろん日本だけの珍現象でした。
事の発端は少年ジャンプというマンガ雑誌に連載された池沢さとし先生の作品「サーキットの狼」がブームの火付け役となったのです。

絵や野球マンガが好きだったWildmanは少年ジャンプ誌を'73年頃から愛読していましたが'75年に突如としてそのマンガは連載開始となりました。はっきり言って少年マンガ誌で、まだ自動車免許も持たない子供たち相手にクルマのマンガなんてナンセンスと言う感じで、連載開始当時はいつも巻末に掲載されていて人気も無く、いつ打ち切りなってもおかしくない状況でした。

しかしとにかくクルマ好きだったWildmanはこのマンガに喰らい付き、いつも少年ジャンプの発売日を楽しみにしていました。（実はこの時点ですでに旧車に興味があったのですが・・・）

画像はその連載開始の少年ジャンプ1975年第1号です、手元にあります・・人気の無かったこのマンガでしたがある時から突如として読者による人気投票第一位となり連載打ち切りになるどころか少年ジャンプ誌のドル箱となりました。
ストーリーは暴走族の主人公が（なぜか愛車は日本車ではなくロータスです）数々のライバルたちを公道で蹴散らし?レーサーとなってサーキットに舞台を移し最終的にはなんとF1レーサーにまで登りつめるという無茶なお話でした。初期の話は公道グランプリなる公道レース？が開催されるのですが、その舞台が神奈川県の箱根ターンパイク周辺となり、Wildman的には知っている道がたくさん出て来て一層親近感?を覚えました。「この道はオヤジといつもニジマスを釣りに行く箱根の道ではないか!」と勝手に興奮していました。
'76年も中盤を過ぎると明らかに世の中が動き始めました。このマンガには数々の実車が登場してそのスペックや特徴を紹介し、子供のオタク心?をくすぐるのですが、クルマたちが機械ではなくアイドルとしての扱いを受けるようになったのです（モーニング娘のような物ですな）アイドルなので触りたくても触れない存在なのですが、何とか写真だけでも撮ると言う感じから何とか触ってやると言った暴挙に?出るヤツもいました。

そのクルマがスポーツカーを越えた存在のスーパーカー達でした（これはたぶん和製英語なので実際は"Exotic Car"だと思います）イタリアのランボルギーニやフェラーリ等を中心とした車種で、その他日本車やドイツ車、悪役として?アメリカ車も出て来ます。と言うことで又も長話のスタートとなってしまいました。

'77 was KISS and Super Car Boom.

So the last three Blog were on about KISS and cant really see the Ending so Wildman will put out short (long) story for KISS on occasion bases please look forward to it.

And now we are going 30 years back to 1977. Yes it was first visit of KISS to Japan and at same time the Super Car was Big boom among children boom which moved public. Super Car Boom showed strong Effect through out Japan.

This Boom was experienced by the generation born in mid 60s and
Went to Junior to High school in near ’77 and Wildman was born in 1964 and right in the generation. By the way Boss is more older generation and this talk is usually Treated like kids thing.

Also Mooneyes 20 to mid 30 years old generation stuff are too young to know this Boom, (cant be involved as too young) so Wildman can enjoy the same generation readers with reminisce the boom. (there are many people in Custom Car industries who had effect from this Boom)

Super Car Boom happened in '76 but Wildman was already a Car Mania in '75 collecting Mini Cars and cant believe all class mate in school had got into cars.

In '77 boom hit its peak and from end of the year to '78 this boom Had ended but of course it was just lone boom in Japan.

The start of all was the Cartoon magazine called “Young kid Jump”

Which had Mr. Satoshi Ikezawas piece called "the wolf of circuit".

Wildman was reader of "Young kid Jump" as his favor of art and baseball From '73 and in '75 that cartoon came out as individual cartoon short book.

It was nonsense to have Cartoon about cars and to readers who are Too young and don't even have drivers license and not popular As always listed on last and can be ended in any moment.

But the Car Mania Wildman was digging to this cartoon and always Waiting for the day of new issue release of this Young kid Jump. (actually had interest in old classic cars at this point )

The picture is the first issue of The Young Kid Jump in 1975 always at hand. The Cartoon which was not popular at this moment and then next moment it was Best cartoon as readers choice and became the Money maker of this magazine.

The story is the main character of “Bousouzoku”(street racer) (some how the car is Lotus and not Japanese ) raced against various cars on street and wins to make a way to become a racer and moved to race in circuit and become F-1 racers which is crazy.

The story begins with race on street called "Public Road Grand Prix" held on Hakone Turn pike in Kanagawa prefecture which is Wildmans familiar place and felt real close to the cartoon.

This road was Hakone where Wildmans father taken young Wildman
For fishing and got excited. In middle of '76 the public was moved. This cartoon showed so many real cars and specs and unique character Were showed and kids maniac mind were effected and cars were treated As like idol and not just machine. (like Morning Musume, which is girls Music chorus group) Idol is untouchable so kids were taking pictures and some went far wild as jumping To touch.

Those cars were Supercars which went over the Sports cars.(Super car is Japanese English and proper word is "Exotic cars") Lamborghini, Ferrari were major and other Japanese German and Bad guys character on American cars were in the story.

SO it has been another start of long story. From now on it will be divided to few times so please look forward to All Super Car Boomers and also those who were not.

KISSと共に30年 Part.3 "動いているKISSにクラクラ"

1977年5月7日15:50、初来日を果たしたKISSのライブ映像がついにテレビで放送されました。天下のNHKがヤング・ミュージック・ショーという海外アーティストの映像を放送する番組で、NHK自身も初めて武道館でのライブ撮影となりました。
テレビの前に座るWildman、土曜日の午後その伝説の番組は始まりました。All Right Tokyo, You Wanted The Best, You Got The Best! The Hottest Band In The World!! KISSの叫び声と共にDetroit Rock Cityのイントロが流れてテレビ画面に動いているKISS 4人が登場しました。

「う・動いている・・あの怪獣4人が本当に動いている！」とWildman。そうです、音楽がどうのこうのというよりもそれまで雑誌やレコードジャケット等の画像でしか見たことの無かった物体が動いている事に感動しました。「ウワー、本当に火を吹いた!」、「ゲッ！血を吐きやがった!!」、「ギターが燃えてるぞー!」、「舌が長すぎるぞー!」、「火柱だ！武道館が火事ダー!」、「なんだか分らないが凄いぞーこれは！」と言う感じであっという間に50分が過ぎました・・・「す・凄すぎる、これは本当に凄い！これがロックンロールだ」という勝手な解釈のもとに以降30年に渡るKISSファンとしての第一歩が始まりました。この映像を見てから、他のバンドの事には目もくれずKISS一筋となってしまい、KISSが王道で他のバンドなんかどんなに演奏が上手くても全く反応しない体になってしまいました。
この番組の視聴率は20％台となり、当時の中高生はテレビの前にかじりついていたのです。ビデオデッキも普及していない頃だったので、この映像は暫くのあいだ幻の映像となりました（ラジカセで録音し、テレビ画面をカメラで撮るのがみな精一杯でした）KISSがロック初体験だ！という昭和40年前後生まれの方々はたくさんいますよね！
そんなこんなで77年のKISS初来日は武道館の動員記録でビートルズを破り、全ての地方公演もソールドアウト、テレビ放送も高視聴率を記録し（ヤング・ミュージック・ショーとして最後まで破られませんでした）記録ずくめの内に終わったのでした。ありとあらゆる雑誌がこのライブを特集し、増刊号も多数発売されてメディアもKISSで大儲けしたでしょう。Wildmanのまわりの友人達もみな刺激され、KISSファンになりギターやバンドをやり始めたりするヤツが大勢いました。しかしWildmanは違いました。あのライブ映像を見て音楽性というよりもエンターテインメントとしてのKISSに強く惹かれてしまい、何というかKISSのデザインに惚れてしまったのです。

まずKISSのLPレコードにはオマケがたくさん付いていました。画像のLPは日本のみの発売となった邦題「続・地獄の全貌」という今となっては貴重な３枚組ですが、これには４人分のペーパーマスク（お面）や８ページのカラーブックレットなどが付録として付いていて、同時期の他のLPもステッカーやポスターなどがこれでもかというくらい付いていました。

輸入版LPにはKISS ARMYというファンクラブの申し込み用紙やマーチャンダイズのカタログも付いていて、子供心をくすぐるグッズが多数載っていて、商売上手なKISSはどんどんファンにお金を使わせるシステムを確立させていたのです。

そしてファンクラブに入会すると画像のようなKISS Army Kitという大量のオマケKitが会員証と一緒に送られて来たのでした。画像のKitは76年から78年中期のKit IIですが各年式があります。それぞれポスター、ステッカー、パッチ、フォトカード等々たーくさんのグッズが入っています。
完全にKISSにコレクター魂を揺さぶられてしまったWildmanはKISSの1ファンというよりも（もちろん曲も好きですが・・・）1コレクターとしての要素？が強くなってしまい、オマケの収集から始まり、とんでもない泥沼となるKISSコレクター30年の道となって行くのです。

長すぎるから残念ながら今回はここで終わります。

"Got dazzled by moving KISS"

At 15:50 on May 7th 1977, the first live picture of KISS has been On Air through National Broadcast TV.

The Goddest NHK had program called "Young Music Show" where Pictures of Musician from abroad were played in movie and The live shoot of KISS at Budoukan was the first live show for them too.

The Wildman sat in front of TV, the legend has started on Saturday afternoon. "All Right Tokyo, You wanted the Best, You Got The Best!"
The Hottest Band In The World!! KISS" with the screaming voice the "Detroit Rock City" introduction was played and on the TV screen the "moving" live 4 members of KISS has appeared. "they are moving that Monsters are moving!" said Wildman.

That’s right before the music it was amaizing to see them move in action while all it was a picture in Magazine and Record Jacket.

"They fired!" "They puked blood" "The Guitar is burning!" "the tung is too long" "The fire poll, the Budoukan is on fire" " not sure Whats going on but it's amazing" and 50 minutes went by so fast.

"this is truly amazing, this is Rockn Roll" and so that was the very beginning of 30 years of being a big fun of the KISS.

After looking at this pictures, Wildman gave no eyes on other band and Strictly became KISS only fan.

Even though there may be better players Wildman wasn't looking at other Band in fact he didn't show any reaction Even if they were good.

This program hit 20% on an audience rating. The high school and junior High school students used to watch this program. There were no video players available than, so these pictures have been the legend for a while.

The sound taken by the tapes and pictures were taken by films off the TV screen was max way of saving visual records. There are many people who were born round 1964 and says that KISS was the first experience of ROCK.

And so on the 1977 KISS first tour has beat the Beetles record for Number of people watching the live in Budou kan and all locals live were Sold out too and record high on audience rating(it was never beaten) and Tour ended in all record high.

There were so many magazine wrote about this live, Made Extra issue and media must have made lots of money by KISS.
There were People around Wildman who became KISS fan begun playing guitar and Playing band. But Wildman was different.
Wildman was attracted to KISS as not musician but as an entertainment, Attracted to the design. First the KISS LP records had many extras.
The three set of LP in the picture was sold only in Japan "The Originals II" which is very rare now had paper mask of four and 8 page color book as extras.
Compared to other LP which has had sticker and posters.

Diecast catalog was included and many attractive goods were on the catalog, The KISS is smart business man, made all the system to make a fan to spend money.

And when entering the fan club the kit called "KISS Army Kit" was sent Which was full of KISS goods with the member card. The one in picture is kit from 1976 to middle of 1978, but every year model exsisit. Each has posters, stickers, patch, photo card and more goods in it.

Wildmans collector spirit has been turned on by the KISS goods and Wildman was more of one collector fan than the music fan (of course like the music), Started to collect the extra goods and toys and become the endless collector of KISS for thirty years.

KISSと共に30年 Part.2 "KISSがやって来た！"

もう止まらなくなって来たWildman's KISS Storyはいつ終わるかも分りませんので、お付き合いして頂ける方はだんだんと限られてきそうですが、今回も勝手に書かさせて頂きます。（というかKISSの歴史を自分でおさらいしているだけかもしれません）

77年3月18日に日本にKISSロゴ入りジャンボ機で到着したKISS御一行でしたが、はやくも羽田空港でトラブル発生でした。機内で入念なメイクを施し、フルコスチュームで取材陣の前に華々しく登場する予定でしたが、そこは頭のお堅い日本の税関のお役人さま達、そんなメイク姿で入国させてもらえるはずも無く、別室にてメイクを落とし素顔とパスポート写真を確認させられてから、もう一度メイクしての入国となりました。大袈裟が好きなKISSですが、実は本当に抜け目の無いビジネスマン達なのでこの来日にはプロモーション活動の意味もあったのです。77年のこの時点でKISSの人気は本国アメリカではピークに達しつつあり、レコードは売れまくり全ての音楽雑誌の表紙を飾り、各地でライブの動員記録を更新していて、やることなす事全てが上手く行っている状態でした。それでもビジネス戦略はまだ続き、この来日中にアメリカ本国で忘れられてしまわないよう、選出したジャーナリスト数十人を同行させてKISS日本滞在記を（強制的に？）書かせるプランでした。メンバーと同じ飛行機のファーストクラスに乗せ、同じホテルに宿泊し、全ての費用はKISS持ちという無茶苦茶に金の掛かる事を平然とやっていたのです。

そんな事は当時ぜんぜん知らない中学１年生のWildmanでしたが、あの怪獣のようなKISSというグループが日本にやって来るという噂は聞いていました。何しろこの頃、中高生の間ではKISS人気は猛烈な勢いで高まっていて、男子はKISSやAero Smith,Queen、女子は懐かしのBay City Rollersが人気沸騰という感じでした。なかでもKISSはその風貌からメディアも飛び付き、あらゆる雑誌が特集を組んだり、来日記念号？なる別冊の本が多数出版される状況でした（全部持っております・・・）

この日本ツアーは77年のKISSワールドツアーの皮切りとなりまして"Sneak Attack Tour"と名付けられて新コスチューム&セットで世界初の露出となりました。

画像にあるアルバムジャケットは"Rock and Roll Over"の物ですが（邦題：地獄のロックファイアー）この新アルバムから日本で新曲が演奏されるのですが、Wildman的にはKISSアルバムの中で最高のデザインのジャケットになります。どう見ても最高です、間違えありません。「いよいよKISSなる方たちが日本にやって来るのか、見てみたいもんだ」と思っていた少年Wildmanでしたが、だいたいロックコンサートなるもののチケットをどうやって買うかも分らず、何より￥３，０００以上の代金など支払えるメドも無くこの記念すべきKISS初来日は自分でも信じられ無い事なのですが行っておりません。
 
しかしそういった少年少女の不満を吹き飛ばす出来事が起こったのです。何と天下のNHKがこのライブを放送する事が決定していたのです！

多くの人の？人生を変えてしまう伝説のTV番組「ヤング・ミュージック・ショー」は77年5月7日15時50分より国営放送？の電波を使いお茶の間に流されたのでした。そしてWildman家でも受信してしまい一少年の人生が変わってしまったのです。　以後続きますが書く事がありすぎて困って来ました・・・

 
Together with KISS for thirty years. Part II "KISS has arrived!"
The Wildmans story will never know where to end as this topic of "KISS" start readers may not bear with his story and decrease but Wildman still wants to write way he wants. (may be just going back the history of KISS)
On March 18th 1977, KISS has landed on Japan with Jumbo jet with their Logo on side, and so soon they had trouble in Haneda Airport.
 

They were putting make up on and was to appear in front of Reporters in full costume. But that was the hard headed JAPANESE CUSTOM who gave no way to KISS to enter Japan in full make up and made them take off all make up and check the
Face with passport picture. KISS then re did the make up and entered Japan.

The KISS love to make exaggeration but truly they are smart business man So this promotion tour to Japan had real meaning. In 1977 KISS was getting peak to its popularity, Their Record was making high Sales record and being on every music magazine covers and every local live had New Record high number were joined to see their live so everything was going

Right for them. But still the business tactics continued with this Japan Tour, To avoid people to forget about KISS during this tour, About 50 of The chosen Journalist went on to the tour to write about the KISS Japan tour.

They went on the first class of the same flight, stayed in same hotel and All cost was on KISS. The KISS was doing something crazy high cost things like that. Wildman didn’t know all about that as he was in Junior high school fresh man But have heard that crazy monster band KISS was coming to Japan. Anyway back then the The KISS was getting so popular in such high speed among the Junior high school students. Boys liked KISS, Aero Smith, Queen and Girls liked Bay City Rollers and they were getting popular too.
Among them the KISS was getting all attention from Media and All kind of magazines tried to have interview or special report page And additional Japan Tour Book was released separately. (Wildman has it all)
In Japan. The album jacket in picture has "Rock and Roll Over" (the Japanese title has Rockfire from hell. The newest song from the latest album was seen in alive, Wildman thinks this album has best jacket design. It looks great can not be wrong.

"Finally the KISS has come to Japan, want to see them" The young Wildman didn’t know how to buy the ticket for Rock Concert And even didn’t have way to pay for more than 3,000yen. So unbeieveable But Wildman didn’t go to the very first Japan tour of KISS. But there was something more to ease these boys and girls who couldn’t go. The goddest NHK broadcast has planned to on air the live of KISS.
Many people had their life changed by the legend TV program called "The Young Music Show" was broad cast across Japan to every Home in 1977 May 7th 15:50 on
National broadcast. And Broadcast reached the home of Wildman which changed the life of Young Wildman. The story will continue but Wildman is worried about that there are much too much things to write.
